The Torched Mod Minecraft

The Torched This mod’s really fun and very useful at the same time.  It adds in three new ways to place torches, including one that’s like a firework show.  The firs item, which is the most practical, is the Torch Gun.  It shoots one torch, which gets placed wherever it lands, and can hurt mobs.  It’s a bit on the cheap side.  The crafting recipe for the gun itself:

Then you have to load it with flint and steel to light the torches on the way out:

It will search your inventory for torches, just like a bow does with arrows.  The gun has infinite durability, but has to be reloaded with flint and steel.

The next item, which is less effective but a lot more fun to watch is the Torch Launcher.  This is more useful outside than in a cave, as you can just fire it up, the shot will explode, and place torches everywhere.  This one needs a special type of torch.  Recipes for both:

The last item is similar to the launcher, but works more like a firework.  You can load it up with eight stacks of torches, a ton of gunpowder, and up to sixteen gold nuggets.  Torches and gunpowder can be dropped on it, but you have to right click to place the gold nuggets.  You can then either right click it with flint and steel, set it on fire, or use redstone to fire it up in the air.  Without further delay, here’s the recipe:

How to Install The Torched Mod  Minecraft 1.5.2 and 1.6

1. Install Minecraft Forge
2. Download the Torched Mod
3. Drag the downloaded archive into your mods folder
4. Run Minecraft and enoy.
