RotaryCraft Yet another complicated techy mod. Fun one, though. This particular mod revolves more around gears and shafts for power. I couldn’t find any recipe images, so this is the crafting table layout I’ll be using to explain the recipes to you:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get on to the semi-fun stuff. The first thing you’ll want to craft is a certain type of book. It’s the nomicon for this mod, The RotaryCraft handbook. It’s made with paper in slots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, redstone in lots 1 and 3, and iron in slot 2. I love when mods add in references for their mod into an item, so points to Reika for this! The next item you’ll want is a screwdriver, which has a plank in slot 9, a stick in slot 5, and a piece of iron in slot one. The screwdriver is used to rotate blocks.
The next thing you’ll want to make is a blast furnace, which is eight stone (not cobblestone) around a piece of redstone. You’ll need a block of lava or some other heat source under the blast furnace, as well as coal inside of it, to make steel from iron. You can make up to nine steel at a time by placing one piece of iron into each slot in its GUI.
Now, for power transfer you’ll need shafts. The most basic one is the wooden shaft, which is made like a boat with a stick in the middle. There are five different types of shaft ranging from wooden to bedrock. There are tons of other ways to move power, but it would take me well over six paragraphs to talk about of them. All of the recipes are contained within the book you make at the beginning.
Here’s a video showing the more advanced recipes and applications for this
In all I’d highly suggest at least checking the mod out if you’re into these types of mods. I can see this mod really going to the top.
