Magic Carpet Mod for Minecraft 1.5.2

This mod adds Magic Carpets and rugs. The Magic Carpet, better known as just Carpet, is a carpet from Disney’s 1992 film Aladdin who is a good friend of Genie. Aladdin and Abu first finds Carpet in the Cave of Wonders while trying to find Genie’s lamp.

Crafting the Rugs

There are four different rugs than can be crafted: Brown, Red, Blue and Green.

Using Rugs

Rugs can be placed on the world ‘rolled’. By left clicking on a rolled rug, it extends. Left clicking on an extended rug rolls it. Right clicking on a rolled rug picks it up.

Rugs are decorative. They’re placed based on the orientation of the player.

Enchanting the Rugs into Magic Carpets

Any rug can be transformed into a Magic Carpet by combining them with a Bottle of Enchanting, a Blaze Rod or an Enchanted Book:

Riding a Magic Carpet

An unrolled Magic Carpet will float above the ground. Right clicking on it will mount it. Magic carpets are controlled in the same way as the player. ‘Jump’ Raises the Magic Carpet and ‘Dive’ (left shift by default) will dive it. To unmount a Magic Carpet, just dive while on the ground.

Installation:

• Download and install Minecraft Forge
• Download Magic Carpet Mod
• Copy the DrZhark’s Magic Carpet Mod.zip file into the /.minecraft/mods folder
• Done
